12:00pm: Race Registration Desk Opens

1:00pm: SPORTS OPENING.
Music By Skipton Brass Band  
Tombola, Coconut Shy, Pillow Fight, Ducking Stool, Vintage Cars, Punch & Judy, and other sideshows, Local and Open children’s races, Children’s attractions bouncy castle and cave maze,….and lots more.

2.00pm: 10 MILE ROAD RACE.
Via Hartlington, Hebden, Grassington, Threshfield, Swinden Corner, Linton,
Thorpe…Approx. time 50-75 min.

  • Age: Competitors must be 18 years of age on 19th August 2017.
  • Prize Values: 
    • Mens£85, £50, £35, £25, £20,
    • Womens: £85, £50, £35, 
    • 1st Local: £20 
  • Veterans:
    • Mens: V40 1st £20, 2nd £20, 3rd £10: V50 1st £20, 2nd £15, 3rd £10. V60 1st £20. 2nd £15, 3rd £10: V70 1st £20.
    • Womens: V40 1st £20, 2nd £15, 3rd £10: V50 1st 20

ENTRY FEE £10, No Team Fee


3.30pm: Start of DALES JUNIOR FELL RACES
Ages are as of the race day.

The minimum age for competition is 6 years on the day of the race.

  • Categories: Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, Dales Under 18.
  • Maximum distances as specified FRA Rule 10 will be adhered to, but the organisers retain the right to run some categories together whilst still retaining each categories placing. 
  • Prizes: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Boy, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Girl. The "Cudworth Trophy" is awarded to the first local in the U18 category. Prizes are also awarded to the 1st "local" Boy and Girl in each age category.
  • ENTRY FEE £2.00 ENTRIES FOR JUNIOR RACES TAKEN ON THE DAY. 
  • "LOCAL" is defined as resident or attending school within the Parishes of Bolton Abbey Bolton, Burnsall, Appletreewick, Barden. Skyreholme, Howgill, Thorpe, Drebley, and Hartlington.
  • A Parent or Guardian will be required to sign as "Responsible Adult" and complete parental consent IN PERSON on the day, (even if pre-registered!) in order to comply with FRA rules and insurance requirements.

4.30pm: THE CLASSIC FELL RACE
BRITAINS PREMIER SHORT DISTANCE RACE

  • Millennium Cups, donated to the Winners of the Classic Fell and Ladies Races- to be engraved and kept in the Red Lion after presentation on the day.
  • Climb to approx. 1,350ft. Average time 13-18 minutes. Age: Competitors must be 18 years on 20th August 2016.
  • CLASSIC PRIZE OF £1,000 TO ANY COMPETITOR BREAKING THE RECORD OF 12.48 IN 2013.
  • PRIZES: 
    • Mens :£85, £50, £35, £20, £15, £10. The "Horton Smith Cup" is additionally awarded to the male runner finishing in 1st position.
    • Womens: £85, £50, £35. The "Grayshon Family Cup" is additionally awarded to the female runner finishing in 1st position.
    • 1st to summit £15.
  • Veterans
    • Mens: V40 1st £20, 2nd £15, 3rd£10: V50 1st £20, 2nd £15, 3rd £10: V60 1st £20, 2nd £15. 3rd £10: V70 1st £20.
    • Womens: V40 1st £20, 2nd £15, 3rd £10: V50 1st £20
  • Any runner not in receipt of a prize who completes the course in under 14.20, £3.
  • ENTRY FEE £6.00  Unnatt. Plus £1.00
  • LOCAL FELL RACE, Entry £6.00, Prizes 1st £25, 2nd £20, 3rd £10. The "Rectors Shield" is awarded to the first local

5.45pm: PRESENTATION OF PRIZES

  • ENTRY PLEASE TICK RACE & CATEGORY, ENTER FULL DETAILS AND SIGN DECLARATION. ALL CHEQUES PAYABLE TO “BURNSALL SPORTS”
  • Please indicate race categories as appropriate
    • CLASSIC FELL SNR. MAN V40 V50 V60 V70; WOMAN V40, WOMAN V50;  LOCAL
  • JUNIOR FELL U8 U10 U12 U14 U16 U18; Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Boy and Girl in each CATEGORY U8 U10 U12 U14 U16 U18 (Junior entries must be countersigned IN PERSON by a parent/guardian for legalliability reasons- no exceptions).
  • 10 MILE ROAD SNR. MAN V40 V50 V60 V70; WOMAN V40, WOMAN V50;  LOCAL
